So, I've realized something. I think I might be reading too many comic books. Over the last few weeks I've gotten 27 new comics. Yeeeeeah. No wonder the comic shop owner knows me by name.

And to top it off? I'm rereading my old Catwoman comics. Meaning, the series that started in 1993.

Alrighty. New layout again, because of the fantastic mood theme by [info]twilight_moods. :) I still need to tweak my links and stuff, but at least I've got the hard part out of the way.

And look! My icon that I already had (thanks to the awesome Tami) matches one of the moods!

Alrighty, I actually have stuff on my mind today.

1. I swear to God, I saw Jigsaw yesterday. And by that I mean, when I was walking into one of my Krogers there was a truck stopped at the stop sign right in front of me that looked exactly like Tobin Bell. At least I think that's his name. But, you know. Jigsaw from Saw. It was freaking weird.

2. Tuesday the Glee soundtrack came out. I had to run errands and, of course, that was the first thing I got. Even though I went past a couple of my stops to get to Best Buy. I freaking love this CD. And Artie's rendition of Dancing With Myself is very lounge lizard, which I think is great. So far they haven't messed up any songs I like that they've done. Including Defying Gravity.

3. On the note of Glee and Defying Gravity, the CD helps but dammit, I want more episodes! I know, it comes back next week, but I'm hooked on it. But, I found a clip from next week's episode, Wheels, which would have aired this week if it wasn't for that pesky World Series. (Because, you know, the whole world is in the USA. Obviously.) The clip isn't on YouTube, so I'm not sure how well the embedding'll work, but I'll try!

Clip here: I couldn't get the embedding to work. And I suck at making links.

http://www.spoilertv.com/2009/10/glee-episode-109-wheels-sneak-peek.html

Spoilerish commentary about the clip if you don't wanna watch it for some crazy reason )

And on that note, when the hell are they gonna get Idina Menzel to show up on Glee?! Seriously, she should play someone closely related to Rachel. Maybe that's why we haven't met any of Rachel's family yet. >.>

4. New Layout! I need to track down a Glee mood theme to go with it, but yay in the meantime! And I can't help snickering a bit when I see how Puck's looking at Kurt in the picture.

Well, I got back from picking my mom up from the airport about an hour ago. She's been in Germany since the very beginning of August. Aaaaaaaand my stepdad is already being a douche to me. Wonderful. Any time I try to get near my mom he just fucking glares. I'm sorry, I want to spend time with her too. She's my mom. I've known her twenty-four years. You haven't known her as long. You can get the fuck over it.

Also, my mom told him that when she came back she wanted him to make us steaks, and she wanted me to make this sauteed spinach and mushrooms thing I make. He got the steaks. No spinach and mushrooms. Also, he only got two steaks and two potatoes. No mentioning any of this to me. I'm sorry, I have no money to spend to go get the spinach and mushrooms, plus if I'm not getting any of the other shit then I'm not making it in the first place. My mom wasn't even happy about this turn of events.

Way to pretend I don't even fucking exist when I live here just as much as he does.

And apparently, I'm supposed to be run off for the night. My step brother is supposed to take me to the movies or some shit, but guess what? I didn't hear a thing about this until he said something about it about an hour ago. Not a word from Kevin, not a word from the douchebag. So I texted Kevin about this about an hour ago, but no answer.

Sorry, I hate to sound like a whino, but this is just shittastic.

And wow. He (the douche) just called MY cellphone when he was trying to call Leah. How did he even manage that one? Anne. Leah. There are many names in between ours.

Ugh. This week fucking sucks.

Thanks a lot, ABC. Yes, The Lion King is amazing, and the Broadway show is stunning, but the music upsets me. Besides, it's only been running for 11-12 years. There's newer stuff. Why did you have to show part of THAT?!

Anyway. On a better note. Glee comes on tonight! I'm already completely convinced that Puck is going to end up being gay for Kurt. There's just something about that kid.

PS: I miss my Simba. Still. And THAT'S the reason that the music upsets me.

Edit: Oh, and then they did a big tribute to Patrick Swayze. Thanks. Real cheerful episode.

So, as expected, Anime Weekend Atlanta was filled with happyfuntimes. I'm not even all that into anime any more and it was fantastic anyway. Spent most of the weekend hanging out with a girl that I only met Friday, partly because hey, why not hang out with someone who's more into things like Doctor Who, Buffy, and Nevermind The Buzzcock than anime when I'm in the same boat? Anyway, already planning out the Kairi costume I'm going to make for next year, and it's not going to be made out of crappy broadcloth or anything like everyone else's seem to be made out of. After the shit that girl went through, you know that pink dress has to be made out of something more substantial than one of the weakest fabrics there is.

Anyway, yes. That's my report.

And now I'm up to the third Sookie Stackhouse book. Yay for getting to the point where I don't actually know (mostly) what's going on!

Oh. And everyone needs to watch Axis Powers Hetalia. I don't care if you like anime or not, it's one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. Set (mostly) during WW2 and the characters are the countries themselves. Ask me where to watch it and I'll show you.

And I start my new job tomorrow. Woot!

For one thing, I have a job interview thingy tomorrow. It's not with BAM, but that's fine. It's something that I can do alongside of BAM. Not much, but anything is great right now.

And one another note, I am seriously considering going to stay with my dad in Alaska for all of next summer. Get a job in one of the shops or something. I hear they hire a lot during the summers because Ketchikan is one of the places a lot of cruise ships stop. Really, I think it would be good for me to get out of Georgia, and especially Peachtree City, for a while.

So, I don't have all that much to say right now, just one little thing, really.

For some reason, I've been on a big HP kick the last couple of days. Last night I watched Sorcerer's Stone followed by Chamber of Secrets, today Prisoner of Azkaban followed by Goblet of Fire. And while watching GoF I realized that Twilight has kinda ruined the big emotional part for me. (Or, well, one of the emotional parts. Yes, I'm emotionally attached to HP characters. Sue me.) Cedric dies. I used to get sad every time, now... not so much. I just watched that part and went "Meh. He's not really dead." Now, I'm not even the biggest Twilight fan. I mean, I'll admit that I find it amusing and all that, but it's seriously not the best thing since sliced bread. Not really even in the top few THOUSAND things since sliced bread.

And that is all.

Oh, and hey. Still need a job. I'm now down to about 3/8 of a tank of gas and $6. Go me. v.v

Side note: I couldn't pick which icon to use, so here's an alternate.

Hey look. I have a new layout. The purple bats thing really didn't last long, and I want to figure out how to put some animations down the side. Plus, I'm so putting links over there. But, here's the basic look of it so far.

Yay for Eric! The only character that can still be badass with hair foils in.

So here's a sadly true story from today.

So I was sitting outside of Books-A-Million (please take note of the word books in the name of the store), reading a book and drinking coffee. Now, I don't have a kendle. I don't have books loaded onto my iPod to read. This was made out of paper and ink and some glue in the spine. The name of the store (including the word books) displayed clearly above my head.

A woman pulls up to the curb in her van and goes "Excuse me." Now, this is fine. It's not the first time that I've had someone stop and ask me questions. I sit out there a lot, after all, and it's on the corner of one of the largest shopping centers in town. So I look up with a smile on my face, trying to be as polite as I can be even though she interrupted my content moment because, hey, she might have a legit question. Turns out, she didn't.

"Do they still sell books?" Seriously. That was what she asked me. I stared at her for a minute, blinking, and trying to find some sign that she was kidding. She. Wasn't. Kidding.

"Yes," is my simple reply.

This one word has made her far more excited than any non-stupid person should get. Seriously, had it been that long since she'd wanted a book? Not everything is digital, thanks. Books have been around for centuries. They're not like videos or film reels or cassette tapes. They're not a technology that is going to get completely replaced any time soon. There are far too many people left in the world that have an attachment to holding the books in their hands as they read. Hell, I even adore the smell of a book, and I know that I'm not the only one.

This, however, is the sort of person that shouldn't breed. Too bad she's probably about fifty and already has kids, maybe even grandkids. I just really, really hate stupid.

Dear Friends Of Mine,

Do me a favor, will you? If you know that I haven't finished watching whatever movie/show/reading whatever book? Don't tell me that a character that I mention dies. Especially if you know for a fact that I haven't gotten to that part yet. And you also know that I like said character. It just really pisses me off. I don't like spoilers unless they're the ones that I actually ask for.

So, for one thing, still no job. Suckage. And I'm down to about $30, too.

And on another note, I think my brain just broke. About fifteen minutes ago I discovered the character Penny Princess Ph.D., aka Professor Princess, on the newest, and shittiest, of the Transformers show and... she's so... holy crap she makes the rest of the show look great. I want to just kick her head off or SOMETHING.

There's nothing good about this show. It seems to just get worse.

So. I seriously love Tom Lenk. He cracks me up so hard.

Give him more acting parts, Hollywood!

Lotsa language, so careful who's around when you watch it. But still WATCH IT:
